About James Senese: Legendary Neapolitan saxophonist and singer. Born 1945 in Naples to American soldier and Neapolitan mother. Pioneer of ‘Neapolitan Power’ movement.
Album Context: Promoting ”O Sanghe’ (2016) – Targa Tenco Award winner 2017. Over 200 concerts in 3 years. Upcoming double live album ‘Aspettanno ‘O Tiempo’.
Career Highlights: Played on Pino Daniele’s legendary ‘Nero a metà’ (1980). Founded Napoli Centrale in 1975. Blends jazz-rock-funk with Neapolitan tradition.
Special Notes: Same band that recorded with Pino Daniele. Celebrating 50 years of groundbreaking fusion between American black music and Neapolitan folk traditions. Agostino Marangolo also played with Goblin (horror movie soundtracks).
