About Yussef Dayes: South London drummer and producer. One half of Yussef Kamaal duo with Kamaal Williams. Known for blending jazz, broken beat, and electronic music.

Album Context: Post-Yussef Kamaal era, developing solo career. Known for ‘Black Classical Music’ (2023) and collaborations with Alfa Mist, Tom Misch.

Musical Style: Nu-jazz pioneer. Influences from J Dilla, Robert Glasper, Herbie Hancock. Creates hypnotic grooves mixing acoustic drums with electronic production.

Special Notes: Rising star of UK jazz scene. Part of new generation alongside Ezra Collective, Moses Boyd, Nubya Garcia.
