About Nerija: All-female UK jazz collective. Named after Kenyan town where some members’ parents are from. Disbanded 2019 but members continue successful solo careers.
Album: ‘Blume’ (2019, Domino) – only studio album, critically acclaimed
Musical Style: Afro-Caribbean influenced jazz. Complex compositions, collective improvisation, joyful energy.
Special Notes: Rare performance in intimate venue. Launching pad for UK jazz scene’s biggest names. Each member now leads own projects.
